Hanny
Lerner
Hanny Lerner was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She has never lived outside the Borough and seems to know her way around Brooklyn with her eyes closed.
Hanny is a lover of mid-century design. She is a super minimalist, so she has very few pieces of furniture in her home, but what she does have is a rare collection of mid-century originals from the 1950’s and 1960’s, all of which were reupholstered by…Mod of course Examples of what she has in her home is the George Nelson Classic 0693 sofa, Pierre Paulin’s Groovy chairs and Saarinen Executive dining chairs.
Hanny takes a lot of pride in the quality and workmanship that Mod offers. She inspects every piece of furniture that goes out of our workroom to ensure that it’s up to Mod’s high standards.
Our boss lady is a natural when it comes to design, and it is evident in her classy, yet understated sense of fashion. You can even see a glimpse of the mid-century era in what she wears.
Mod Restoration specializes in restoring mid-century modern furniture pieces from iconic designers, such as Eames, George Nelson, Eero Saarinen, and Hans Wegner, to name a few.

We like to think of Mod as “Fashion for Furniture”.
